“On September 22, over 170 students and advisors gathered in Rosetown for the first Ignite: Creator Conference. Every Sun West school with a Grades 7-12 component was represented at Ignite and along with special guests and instructors over 190 people were in attendance.“

This is the THIRD year Bokeh Media has partnered up with the Recording Arts Institute of Saskatoon to have Layla Bautista represent as an instructor at the Sun West School Division IGNITE program. Through this program, these young artists are taught the fundamentals of filmmaking!

We believe that mentoring is an essential aspect to growing the art community around us. We are so honoured to take part in an artist’s future.

The RIFFA Launchpad Program

In summer of 2025. Layla Bautista (owner of Bokeh Media) was selected for the RIFFA Launch Pad with her film “Beginner’s Luck.“ The film went on to screen at the 2025 Regina International Film Festival. Along with this selection, Layla presented the award for “Best Saskatchewan Short Film” at the RIFFA awards and ceremony.

“Bautista: "Having 'Beginner's Luck' selected for the RIFFA Launch Pad is a great feeling! As the director, I'm excited to share this story and expand my skill set; but most importantly, I'm also excited to work on a project that will showcase the skills and talents of emerging Saskatchewan artists." 🙌
